Exmouth Adventures
EXMOUTH
In Exmouth, there are heaps of activities to do including snorkelling with turtles and many other sea creatures and corals. There is also lots of fishing and spear fishing around. Last but not least, there are great surfing beaches around with up to 5-foot waves.
The first thing we did when we got here was going to the visitor information centre where we found heaps of cool postcards, amazing souvenirs and heaps of information. After the info centre we went to Josh and Holly’s to try to park up the caravan and spent an hour getting it into a place it didn’t fit and even still we are really crooked.
The best experience we have had so far was going to Wabiri Beach on the Southern side of the Peninsula. Firstly, we played around in the shore break with our body boards. Then Dad spotted turtles out the back of the break. Dad and I paddled out and got up close to three or four massive sea turtles. It was a really rare experience and it was exhilarating to see them swim away so fast! About 10 minutes after we came in, we saw a school of humpback whales breeching in the distance.
Overall, Exmouth is one of my favourite places we have been to so far. It has been fun, exhausting and never-ending adventure! If you love the ocean, I highly recommend you come here!
